Our Greatest Desire, Your Salvation

We don't believe you are here by accident. God has a design for your life. He has a specific plan and purpose for you. And though He has a design, He gives us a choice. We choose whether or not we will pursue God's design, or if we will choose to go our own way. When we do, it will always lead to brokenness, because anything outside of God's design is called sin, and sin always leads to brokenness. We try to fix our brokenness, but we never can.

Thankfully, God sent the remedy, His one and only Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a sinless life, died on a cross for our sins, was buried, and three days later rose from the dead. And because He lives, we can live also!

Watch the video below. We believe it will help you understand more clearly what Jesus has done for you.

Jesus died in your place. He did this because He loves you. The Bible tells us that He has made it possible for your sins to be forgiven, and to have eternal life. You must trust in Jesus alone for our salvation, and surrender your life to Him. Here's how:

Admit to God that you are a sinner.

A person must admit to God that he or she is a sinner, be sorry for this sin, and turn away from sinning. Verses that support this step are:

• Romans 3:23 – …for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

• Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

• Acts 3:19 – Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord…

• 1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Believe that Jesus is God’s Son

…and that God sent Jesus to pay the penalty for sin. Verses about believing include:

• John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

• John 14:6 – Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

• Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord

When talking with kids we sometimes call this making Jesus Christ “the boss of your life.” But to a Christ follower (or “Christian”), that’s exactly what He is.

• Romans 10:9-10, 13 – If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
